Q1. What are background tasks?
Background tasks process bulk work for you, so you can keep using Juan while it runs. This includes:
bulk actions on selected transactions
imports using Excel templates
attachment uploads through Juan Magic
bank statement uploads
Quick Reconcile
Q2. How do I check a background task?
Click the background tasks icon at the top right of the app to see the status of each task.
Q3. What statuses can a background task have?
Success: everything was completed with no errors.
Partial: some items were completed, and some had errors.
Error: everything failed.
Q4. How long does a background task take?
It depends on the size of the task, but most are completed within a few seconds.
Q5. What happens if there are errors?
Valid items are still completed, and items with errors are skipped. The task shows a Partial status.
Click the task to see why each item failed, such as an unsupported file type, then fix it and try again.
Q6. I don’t see the background task icon or log anymore. What happened?
The background task log clears when your session refreshes, for example when you reload the page or close Juan.
To check what was completed, use Data Exports or the activity log.
