Juan and JuanTax Sync

Q1. Will my Juan account automatically have a JuanTax organization?

Only Essential and Growth plans are integrated with JuanTax.

Q2. Will I have access to both platforms?

Yes, you’ll have full access to both.

Q3. How does the Juan and JuanTax sync work?

Juan and JuanTax are directly integrated—changes in Juan will reflect in JuanTax. You can view your transactions in JuanTax and a direct link is available to edit that transaction in Juan.

Q4. When does the sync happen?

The sync happens automatically every 45 minutes, but you can manually sync transactions in JuanTax via Transactions > Juan Sync.

Q4. How do I know if my organization is synced in JuanTax?

Synced organizations will show the 01 icon in JuanTax.

Q5. What data syncs in Juan and JuanTax?

Here’s a list of data that syncs in Juan and JuanTax

Contacts: add/edit/delete	User can edit contacts in both Juan and JT
Chart of Accounts: add/edit/delete	Upon initial sync, COAs will sync two-way. Once synced, editing COAs in JT will be disabled. COAs can only be edited in Juan. For locked COAs in JT (e.g. 193), deleting them in Juan will not remove them from JT-it will resync. Account Name and Account Code must be identical in both Juan and JT for a match.
Transactions: Synced Transactions	Transaction module in JT will be locked. The transaction is still viewable in JT and a direct link to the corresponding transaction in Juan is available for quick access. New entries, edits, and other changes must be made in Juan.
Transactions: Paid & Unpaid Transactions	Same as above
Transactions: Withholding tax on Sales	Added as prepaid tax and partial payment in JuanTax.
Transactions: Negative transactions/amounts	Only one way, from Juan to JuanTax.
Transactions: Imports via xlsx and Juan Magic	Live.
Transactions: Adjusted VAT entries	Live.
Journal Entries: Entries without any VAT	Live.
Journal Entries: Entries with VAT	VAT will be added in the total DR \| CR amount
Journal Entries: Multi-currency entries	In JuanTax, it the amount will be based on the current PHP value.
Trial Balance: Transfer Trial Balance entry	Live.

Q6. The direct link from a transaction in JuanTax to Juan is not working. How can I fix this?

This happens if you’re currently logged in to another organization in Juan. For example:
- You’re logged in to Company A in JuanTax.
- You’re accessing Company X in Juan.
  - As a result, the direct link from JuanTax to Juan will not work.
  - To fix this, make sure you’re accessing Company A in Juan.

Q7. Will Juan automatically generate a journal entry when a Creditable Certificate (2307) is added in JuanTax?

No, Juan does not automatically generate a journal entry when a Creditable Certificate (2307) is added in JuanTax.

Q8. Can I edit past transactions I recorded in JuanTax after syncing with Juan?

Yes, past transactions recorded in JuanTax before syncing with Juan remain editable. For example:
- January 1 – You recorded a transaction in JuanTax.
- February 1 – You synced Juan and JuanTax.
Transactions recorded before February 1 can still be edited in JuanTax.
